His final posting was at the San Ignacio Police Formation, where he was assigned on July 15, 2018, and served with honour until his retirement on August 7, 2025.

His performance and integrity earned him multiple commendations, including official recognition from the Public Service for his 25 and 30 years of dedicated service.

Beyond his career, Mr. Villanueva is a proud father of four children, who have remained his greatest motivation and source of strength throughout his life.
He takes immense pride in having served Belize with dignity, pride, and discipline. The Belize Police Department played a pivotal role in shaping the man he is today, and though retired, he will forever carry the honour of being a police officer at heart.
