Eldon Paul Simpson

Mr. Eldon Simpson began his career in the Belize Public Service on 7 January 1991, when he joined the Treasury Department as an Assistant Stock Verifier in Belize City. Through his dedication, commitment, and years of experience, he was promoted to the position of Stock Verifier on 1 April 2004.

When Mr. Simpson entered the Public Service, he held only a high school diploma. However, he viewed education as an essential part of personal and professional growth and remained committed to furthering his studies while building his career. Through perseverance and dedication, he continued his education and ultimately earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Subsequently, he as upgraded to the post of Examiner of Accounts at the Audit Department.

His continued commitment to the Public Service eventually led to his transfer on promotion to Senior Assets Officer within the Assets and Utility Management Unit of the Ministry of Finance, a position in which he continues to contribute his knowledge and experience to the effective management of public resources.

Over his 35 years of service, Mr. Simpson has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that has shaped both his professional and personal development. His responsibilities have also taken him across the Public Service, giving him the opportunity to work with and meet public officers from ministries and departments throughout Belize. His journey in the Public Service has taught him the importance of discipline, responsibility, accountability, and service to both self and others. It has also provided him with countless opportunities to grow, learn, and make meaningful contributions to the Government of Belize.

These experiences allowed him to build professional relationships, gain a broader understanding of government operations, and appreciate the important role that each public officer plays in serving the people of Belize. His 35 years of service stand as a proud achievement and a lasting contribution to the Government and people of Belize.
