Judith Idolly Ursula Bevans-Middleton
Judith Idolly Ursula Bevans-Middleton, the third youngest of sixteen (16) children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome and Thelma Bevans, was born in the beautiful Garden City of Belmopan, where she spent much of her formative years surrounded by her loving family.
A devoted Christian of the Seventh-day Adventist faith, Judith lived a life deeply rooted in faith, compassion, service, and love for humanity. Her kindness and genuine concern for others were evident in every interaction. She devoted herself not only to her family and community but also to the Church, particularly its young people, whom she served with dedication and love.
Judith also distinguished herself through an exemplary career of thirty-six (36) years in the Belize Public Service. Fresh out of high school, she entered the Public Service on 2 July 1990 as a Clerk/Typist, earning an annual salary of $5,552.00. Through determination, commitment, continuous learning, and professional excellence, she steadily advanced through the ranks, ultimately attaining the position of Finance Officer.
Her commitment to personal and professional development was further demonstrated by her academic achievements, culminating in a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. Her journey from a young Clerk/Typist to a Finance Officer and accomplished professional stands as a testament to her discipline, perseverance, and unwavering belief in the power of education and hard work.
Judith’s life was guided by a simple but powerful principle: faith. As Scripture reminds us, “Faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Her faith gave her strength to face life’s challenges, embrace its opportunities, and remain hopeful for the blessings yet to come. When her story is told, may it be remembered as a story of strong faith, dedicated service, perseverance, love, and achievement a life that touched others and left an enduring legacy.
As Judith moves into the next chapter of her journey, she encourages you to carry faith, the rock upon which she has built her life. May that faith that guided her, guide you through every trial, open doors to new opportunities, and lead you toward continuous growth, fulfilment, and success.
May faith be your foundation, your strength, and your guide as you embrace the future.
