BERNARD WILLIAM REYES

I am a serving member of the Belize Police Department. I join the Belize Police Force November 21, 1987, at the Belize Police Training School. On March 18, 1988, I graduated from the Belize police Training School and was posted to Belize City.

In 1990 I was transferred to Criminal Investigation Branch, Belize City. I was later promoted to the rank of Corporal, where I had the responsibility of relief supervisor and case file reader.

In 2000, I was transferred to Anti-Money Laundering Unit then to the Financial Intelligence Unit. In 2005 I graduated from St. John’s Junior College, with an Associate Degree and thereafter I was promoted to the rank of sergeant of police.

In 2010 I was transferred back to Criminal Investigation Branch. Between 2011 to 2014 I worked with the Precincts Police which are precinct one, two and four. Later I was promoted to the rank of Inspector of Police, which I was then transferred as the Commander for the Professional Standard Branch.

In 2018 I was transferred to the Toledo District, then to Southern Intermediate Formation. In 2020 I was promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). In April 2021, I was the transferred from Toledo District to my current post as the Deputy Director of the Joint Intelligence Operation Center (J.I.O.C).

I am the son of Mrs. Georunima Gonzalez and Mr. Thomas H Reyes and was born in Punta Gorda Town, Toledo District.
