Cherry Mae Velasquez

Cherry Mae Velasquez, born in Belmopan City on 20th March 1970, discovered her passion for nursing at a young age. After graduating from Sacred heart high school in 1987, she knew that pursuing a career in healthcare was her calling. 
In 1991, Cherry Mae achieved her dream of becoming a registered nurse when she graduated from the Belize School of Nursing. Armed with her dedicated spirit and a genuine desire to help others, she began her journey of serving the people and government of Belize.
Over the years, Cherry Mae continuously sought to expand her knowledge and skills in different areas of nursing. In 1999, she graduated as a registered midwife, allowing her to specialize in maternal and newborn care. Her commitment to holistic care for her patients inspired her to further her mental health education. Cherry Mae successfully completed her studies and became a Psychiatric nurse Practitioner, further advancing her abilities to assist those facing mental health challenges.
Throughout her extensive career, Cherry Mae Velasquez has dedicated herself to serving her community and country. Her decades of experience have provided her with invaluable insights and the ability to make a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals. She has witnessed the evolution of Mental healthcare in Belize and worked tirelessly to ensure that the best care is provided to all those in need.
Cherry Mae's devotion to her profession goes beyond her official duties. She actively participates in community outreach programs, delivering health education and promoting overall wellness. Her commitment to improving the health and well-being of her fellow citizens has earned her widespread respect and admiration.
Now, with an impressive 35 years of service in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Cherry Mae Velasquez stands as a Stellar figure in the healthcare industry of Belize. She continues to provide exceptional care to her patients and serves as a mentor and role model for aspiring nurses. Her dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to service have made her a true inspiration to all those around her.
