CORDEL GLEN AUGUSTINE

Cordell Glen Augustine was born on January 1st, 1970, to Therese Benguche and Oliver Augustine (deceased) in Dangriga Town. He grew up in the beautiful village of Seine Bight, Stann Creek District. In 1977, he migrated to Dangriga Town where he completed primary school education thereafter, attended Stann Creek Ecumenical College. Due to financial constraints, he was unable to complete high school and at the tender age of seventeen on 22nd November 1987 he enlisted into the Belize Police Force and graduated from Police Training School on 18th March 1988. Cordell rose through the ranks of the Police Force/Department where he was promoted to Corporal, Sergeant and to Inspector which is his current rank.
Mr. Augustine worked at Belize City Patrol Branch, Belize City Traffic Branch, Dangriga Town Police Formation, Punta Gorda Town Police Formation, Major Crimes Unit Belmopan, Intermediate Southern Formation (ISF) Belize City Gang Suppression Unit and Benque Viejo Police Formation. Presently, posted at Raccoon Street Police Station Precinct 2. Over the years, he has seen the department evolved into many positive ventures such as the GREAT Program, Police Cadet and Community Policing among others.
His message to fellow Officers serving the Belize Police Department is” It is often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most lasting change.”
