FELIPE DE JESUS RIVERA
Felipe De Jesus Rivera joined the Belize Customs and Excise Department on May 13, 1991, at the Belize City Headquarters, which was then located on Fort Street, Belize City.
During his 35 years of service, he has served in various postings, including the Santa Elena Border in the Corozal District, Blue Creek Station in the Orange Walk District, the Customs Station in San Pedro Town, the Benque Viejo Customs Station in Benque Viejo Town, Cayo District, and the Customs Headquarters located on Caesar Ridge Road in Belize City.
Throughout his career, he has participated in various local and international training workshops, gaining extensive knowledge and experience in Excise, which is considered his main area of expertise. He has also received training and developed expertise in the Harmonized System of Classification, the identification of items used in the manufacturing of Weapons of Mass Destruction, the examination of goods, and other Customs and Excise-related duties.
He completed his primary education at San Joaquin Roman Catholic School in San Joaquin Village, Corozal District. In June 1987, he completed his secondary education at Corozal Community College in Corozal Town, where he obtained a High School Diploma. In June 1990, he completed his sixth-form education at Corozal Junior College in Corozal Town, earning an Associate Degree in Business Studies.
Originally from San Joaquin Village in the Corozal District, he takes great pride in his long-standing commitment to serving his country and the people of Belize. For the past 35 years, he has dedicated his professional life to the Belize Customs and Excise Department, contributing his knowledge, experience, and expertise to the protection and advancement of Belize.
