Henry Sanchez

In 2016, Henry Sanchez realized that the DOE needed a water and wastewater laboratory. Henry did research on laboratory technologies and identified key equipment necessary to establish the lab. He also identified key courses centered on the establishment and management of a laboratory. With the approval of the Chief Environmental Officer he was able to purchase the equipment and attend several important courses. By mid-2017, the DOE water and wastewater laboratory was functional, taking its first steps. Today, Henry is highly trained in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibrating Laboratories”. He is DOE’s laboratory water analyst and one of the most competent in this field.
