Nadia Victoria Avila was borned in beautiful Punta Gorda, Toledo District. At the age of 2 and as the youngest sibling, her parents and all 7 children migrated to Belize City, where she attended Ebenezer Methodist School, BJSS#1 then Belize Technical College.
At the age of 18, Nadia commenced employment with the Ministry of Health (Public Health Department) as an Aedes Inspector. During her employment, she became a proud, young mom of 3 beautiful daughters namely – Kimolyn Natasha, Brittany Shantel, and Aidan Jasset, and also a proud Grandmom of 2 grand babies, Kodie and Ryleigh. In the year 2016, she was promoted to the post of Supervisor, Vector Control Unit Belize. Ms. Nadia is grateful for the opportunity.
She enjoyed working with young girls, and because of this she founded the Junior/Senior carnival band from the lake independence division – Mahogany Masqueraders. This band, of which made her very proud, would top the carnival road march every time. She ensured to instill the qualities that were rooted in her by her mother, (Mrs. Hazel Avila) love, discipline, respect, and humility.
Nadia, also had a passion for pageantry, this proved successful in 2011, where she was crowned Miss African Queen Belize. Since then, she has been directly involved on pageant committees where she's positively able to help other beautiful women in achieving their pageant goals. She is truly humbled to have served for the past 35 years. A message from her "A heartfelt thank you to CHR/MOH for supporting me throughout my years especially in time of need."
