Oscar Enrique Tzib

Oscar Enrique Tzib was born on the 15th day of July 1969 in the Cayo District. He enlisted into the Belize Police Department on Monday 22nd day of February 1989 and graduated from the Police Training Academy with 1st in written examinations in June of the same year.
Since then, he has worked in different parts of the country as an Intelligence officer (Special Branch) and went through the different Ranks from Constable to Senior Superintendent of Police until he retired on the 15th day of July 2024.
Oscar had the privilege to study abroad, in Mexico, Taiwan and Barbados where he learnt a lot of Intelligence work.
His life was not an easy journey within the Belize Police Department, but he enjoyed work, the sleepless nights doing successful anti-drug surveillance, agent handlings and operations. He had well trained commanders such as the late Mr. Ruben Rodriguez, Mr. Melecio Uck and Mr. Paul Wade, whom he highly respect.
Finally, he wants to encourage the young and talented Police Officers to take the challenge and be as honest and dedicated with full integrity so that they can succeed in life.
