Patricia Robateau Blackett

Patricia Robateau Blackett is officially retiring from the Public Service of Belize after a rewarding career spanning more than three decades. It has been an immense privilege for her to serve within the Land Registry and Registry Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining, where she held the positions of Registry Clerk, Assistant Land Officer, Deputy Registrar of Lands, and ultimately Registrar of Lands, a role she proudly served in since 2016.

Patricia’s journey in public service began on January 21, 1991, when she was appointed as a temporary Registry Clerk. From the very beginning, she demonstrated a strong commitment to serving with integrity, professionalism, and dedication. Throughout the years, she continuously sought opportunities for learning and professional development, with the goal of enhancing the quality of her work and better serving the people of Belize.

Through perseverance and hard work, Patricia advanced her education by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resource Management, a Certificate in Paralegal Studies, and certification as a High Court Mediator. Her combination of knowledge and experience in land and resource management, legal studies, and dispute resolution enabled her to approach her responsibilities from a unique perspective and contribute meaningfully to the Ministry’s mission and objectives.

Throughout her career, Patricia was fortunate to work alongside exceptional colleagues, public officers, and stakeholders whose support, guidance, and friendship enriched her professional journey. The experiences, challenges, and achievements she encountered over the years shaped her both personally and professionally, and for these opportunities, she remains deeply grateful.

As Patricia closes this significant and meaningful chapter of her life, she reflects with pride on the work she accomplished and the relationships she built throughout her years of service. She extends her sincere appreciation to everyone who was part of her journey and who contributed to making her career so fulfilling.

Patricia now looks forward to a well-deserved retirement, where she hopes to devote more time to traveling, spending quality moments with her family, and enjoying the simple pleasures of gardening and a peaceful life. While she may be stepping away from public service, she will always cherish the memories, friendships, and experiences that have been such an important part of her life.

Her more than three decades of dedicated service stand as a testament to her commitment, perseverance, professionalism, and passion for serving the people of Belize. As she begins this new chapter, Patricia leaves the Public Service with a deep sense of gratitude and pride for the meaningful career she has built and the contributions she has made.
