SELVIN TILLETT

Selvin Godfrey Tillett, born 14th May, 1968 in San Ignacio to Godfrey Tillett and Iluminda Flores. He attended Sacred Heart Primary School and Sacred Heart College in San Ignacio. After graduating from college, he joined the Belize Police Force on 16th November 1986, graduating (Passing Out) on 13th March 1987. His first posting was in Benque Viejo del Carmen. During his tenure as a Police Officer, he was privileged to attend Courses/Work -Shops in Venezuela , London, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Roswell New Mexico as well as several local courses. Selvin worked in all districts countrywide, he worked as Patrol Officer, Special Branch Officer, O.C CIU ( Criminal Intelligence Unit), Secretary to National Security Council Secretariat ( NSCS), OC and Deputy OC Orange Walk ( Police) Formation, Deputy OC Benque Viejo Police, Deputy OC Dangriga Police Formation, Staff Officer- Patrol Branch, Belize City, OC Dangerous Goods Desk - Police Headquarters, Belmopan and last posting Police Liaison officer, Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries from where he retired effective 14th May 2023.

Selvin is married to Elvira Tillett nee Sosa, a relationship which produced three children, Kadeem Alexander Tillett, Kendra Marie Harrison nee Tillett and Nathan Kareem Tillett.
