Sherilock Yvette Humes
Sherilock Yvette Humes, was born on April 10th, 1971, the first child to Louis and Martha Humes.
She attended Grace Primary School and upon graduation attended Pallotti High School and went on to Belize Technical College where she obtained a Degree in Business Studies. In that same year that she graduated, she landed a job with the Government of Belize, Income Tax Department as a Clerk Typist, later on transferring to the clerical field as a Data Entry Clerk and finally as First-Class Clerk in which she retired from the Government Service after serving 35 years exclusively at the Income Tax Department. In 2019 the General Sales Tax and Income Tax Departments amalgamated and changed to The Belize Tax Service. Ms. Humes also held some additional posts like Liaison Officer with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served on the NEMO Human Resource Committee in Belize Rural Central since 2011.
During these years she had three beautiful children, the eldest G'Anne Humes is presently working as a Fisheries Officer in the ministry of Blue Economy, her son Jayden Humes works at the Atlantic Bank of Belize and the youngest works with the Transparent BPO Agencies and is registered at Galen for the upcoming September semester.
Ms. Humes is very proud to have been a Public Officer in the Government of Belize for 35 years and wear her crown with pride. My advice the public and fellow public officers is to commit to your jobs no matter what your post is and to perform to the best of your ability. The journey will seem very short at the end of the ride!
