ASP Thomas Myers
Born in Corozal Town on 22nd January, 1971, attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, and Corozal Community College, after leaving ,enlisted in the Belize Police Department February 12th 1989, passed out from National Police Training Academy 16th June 1989, posted at various formations and units within the department, such as Special Branch, Dragon Unit, Internal Affairs now Professional Standard Branch, Police Training Academy Instructor, Deputy Commander Precinct 1 (operations), Commander Precinct 3, Officer Commanding Ladyville Police Station, CIB Orange Walk, QRT Dangriga, Commander Personnel and Commander Dangerous Goods.
I had the opportunity to attend several police courses here in Belize, San Salvador, Panama, Managua and Tegucigalpa, was awarded police of the month in 2012, and Long Service medal, Second Clasp, public service award in 2012 and 2019.
Overall, I have always served to the best of my ability, whenever called upon, in the various capacities I have engaged in. One of the things that has always propelled me to work harder, was seeing my children attending primary and high school, garnering the support for them, to be successful in their endeavors. Thanks to God, my mom, wife, brothers and sisters and several colleagues for the support and encouragement throughout the years.
