Uriel Santos Briceno

Uriel Santos Briceno is a seasoned Radiologic Technologist with over 35 years of dedicated service in the Belizean healthcare system. Born on 13 April 1970, he began his educational journey at San Francisco RC School and later graduated from Orange Walk Technical High School in 1989. Married for thirty two years to Atiliana Angelica Briceno and is a proud father of three sons: Dr. Uriel Santos Guillermo Briceno, Udielmar Zain Briceno, MBA, and Jadiel Daniel Briceno, who is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at UQROO.
Mr. Briceno entered the workforce on January 20, 1990, initially serving as a caretaker and male attendant at the Orange Walk Hospital. He was later selected for career training as an X-ray technician at the Old Belize City Hospital. After completing his training, he served at the Corozal Hospital, followed by six years at the Orange Walk Hospital and six months at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. He was then stationed at the Northern Regional Hospital, where he has continued to serve faithfully—even after reaching retirement age—contributing his expertise on a contractual basis.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Briceno has demonstrated exceptional technical skill and compassion in delivering diagnostic imaging services. He is highly proficient in general radiography, portable X-rays, mammography, and special imaging procedures. Recognized for his calm, reassuring presence and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and medical conditions, he is deeply respected by colleagues across radiology, nursing, and medical staff.
Committed to continuous professional development, Mr. Briceno has kept pace with advancements in imaging technology and maintains a strong adherence to radiation protection protocols and safety regulations. Whether in high-pressure emergency settings or routine outpatient procedures, he brings professionalism, accuracy, and empathy to every patient interaction.
